Celtic Frost was a pioneering Swiss metal band formed in 1984, known for their innovative fusion of black metal, death metal and avant-garde influences. Their groundbreaking albums, particularly “To Mega Therion” and “Into the Pandemonium”, left an indelible mark on the heavy music scene, influencing countless bands with their eclectic sound and dark themes. Despite their initial success, the band faced internal conflicts, leading to their breakup in 1993. Following the split, frontman Tom G. Warrior founded Triptykon in 2008, continuing to explore complex musical landscapes and dark lyrical themes, thereby solidifying his legacy as a key figure in the evolution of extreme metal.
