The special set “Old School Grave & Corpse” will delve back into the group’s earliest and rawest beginnings. Fans can expect selections from “Black Dawn” (1987, when the band was still named Corpse), the legendary “Sick Disgust Eternal” demo (1988), the punishing single “Tremendous Pain” (1991), and the groundbreaking full-length “Into the Grave” (1991), alongside the crushing follow-up “You’ll Never See…” (1992). Together, these releases defined Grave’s initial reign and captured death metal in its most unrefined, devastating form. After a short hiatus, Grave’s return to these roots comes as both a celebration and a reminder of their unwavering impact.
Grave’s live performances are infamous for their suffocating heaviness and unwavering devotion to the old school. At Maryland Deathfest 2026, they will unleash their “Old School Grave & Corpse” set on Sunday, May 24, at Market Place/Power Plant Live, in what promises to be a resurrection of their earliest, most brutal chapter.
